Leaf Peeper Scavenger Hunt: Roaring Brook Nature Center, 10/12, 10-4

Looking for something to do on a lovely fall day during the height of leaf color? Drop in to the Roaring Brook Nature Center in Canton, CT between 10 am and 4 pm and head out on the trails for a fall scavenger hunt and special crafts. Apple cider and cookies will be provided. 
Scavenger hunt map will be sold in Nature Center Store for $2.00 plus admission to the Nature Center. 

No pre-registration needed.

Farmington Valley Butterfly Count and Walk at the Roaring Brooking Nature Center (Canton), this Saturday, July 11 at 7:30am

Join the Roaring Brook Nature Center on July 11th in their annual butterfly survey sponsored by the North American Butterfly Association! The counting will start at 7:30 at the Nature Center parking lot. At 1:30, there will be a butterfly educational program and walk. Be prepared to spend time walking outside. There is a fee of $3 for members and $6 for non-members. The rain date is July 12. Be sure to call the center for more information at 860-693-0263.

Roaring Brook Nature Center Discovery Days Summer 2015 – Registration Deadline!

Today (June 1st) is the last day to register for Roaring Brook Nature Center‘s Discovery Days Summer Camp! They are offering programs for 3.5-4 year olds, 4-5 year olds, K-first grades, 2-4 grades, and 5-8 grades. There are a wide variety of classes ranging from “Mystery Animals” to “H2-Whoa! A World of Water!”
