Have you ever discovered a bone buried in the soil or lying on the ground in the woods and wondered whose it was? Here is your chance to learn how to identify some of the common types of bones you might find as you explore the outdoor world. Learn what skull shapes, teeth and other features tell us about animals, where they live and the lives they lead. DPNC has an impressive collection of skulls and bones, and Dr. Gillie, a local physician, will use these, along with his own collection of specimens, to help you learn to look for the important clues scientists use for identification. Feel free to bring in a mystery bone for identification! This program is appropriate for adults and older children. $6.80/member, $8/nonmember.
