Ever wonder who is responsible for all the chirps you hear at night? Head over to Bauer Park this Saturday night (9/5) at 8:30pm to join author John Himmelman for a walk through the park. You’ll learn how to identify different insects by both sight and sound. This program is for all ages and has no fee. Don’t forget a flashlight!
Show off your creative side this weekend! Using natural materials you’ll have the opportunity to make prints and dye your tee shirts, pillowcases, and other fabrics. Come by Bauer Park from 1-3pm on Sunday, August 2nd. There is a $5 fee per person, and all kids must be accompanied by an adult.

Bring your kids for three days of outdoor fun and learning about the aquatic habitats in Bauer Park. This mini camp takes place from Monday July 13th to Wednesday July 15th from 1pm-4pm. Make sure to dress for the weather, wear good walking shoes, and slather on the sunscreen. This is a drop off program for children ages 3-5, though parents are welcome to stay for the fun. There is a $57 fee for the three day program.
Ever wondered what it was like to work on a farm over 100 years ago? Enroll in Bauer Park‘s week long camp, Farm Fanatics for a chance to go back in time. Enjoy fun farm activities such as planting, making butter, making candles, playing early American games, and searching for historical farm artifacts. This camp is ideal for kids ages 6-9 and runs Monday through Friday from 1-4pm. Be sure to dress for the weather, bring lots of sunscreen, wear closed toed shoes, and bring a snack and water. This Saturday (May 30) from 2-5pm, explore your inner poet at the Bauer Farming Project! Come decorate the gardens with your own haikus and cinquian poems. This event is free and for all ages. There will be lemonade and fresh herb tea. No need to register, but check out their website.
