Hobgoblin Fair at Roaring Brook Nature Center, Saturday 10/31 10-12 OR 1-3

What “critters” will appear on the trails at Roaring Brook Nature Center in Canton, CT at this year’s Halloween Hobgoblin Fair? 

Join us for a ‘Track & Treat’ walk, children’s crafts, cupcake decorating, face painting, a Country Kitchen of yummy homemade items, and a delicious lunch of homemade soup, bread and apple cider. This program is suitable for children ages 3-8. Children are encouraged to wear costumes IF suitable for walking in the woods and participating in the craft activities, and must be accompanied by a parent. Cost: $8 children; $4 adults. Fee includes the ‘Track & Treat’ walk, all crafts, and face painting. Other activities available for an additional charge. Please note that there are no refunds, and that participants should attend the session for which they register; pre-registration with payment and this form is required. 

Wednesday Evening Walks at the Roaring Brook Nature Center

Head on over to the Roaring Brook Nature Center every other Wednesday evening this summer from 7:30pm-8:45pm to enjoy cooler weather. These evening walks will have a focus on animals that become more active when the sun goes down. Dates for these walks are: July 8th and 22nd and August 5th and 19th. Make sure to wear long sleeves and bring a flashlight and bug spray! There is a fee of $4 for members or $6 for non-members (children’s fee is half price).

Summer Solstice Father’s Day Hike at the Roaring Brook Nature Center this Sunday at 1:30pm

Come celebrate the summer solstice and Father’s Day on a guided hike of the Quarry Trail at the Roaring Brook Nature Center on Sunday at 1:30pm. On the hike you will learn about the history of the area. There is a fee of $4 for members or $6 for non-members. Children’s fees are half-price, and fathers are admitted for free!
