Lend a helping hand to Laura Craver-Rogers, the Animal Care Manager at Denison Pequotsepos’ Nature Center. Participants will assist with the daily upkeep of our furred, scaled and feathered friends by feeding, cleaning, and other tasks. Limited to 10; please call to register (860) 536-1216. A Day in a Farmer’s Life at The Stamford Museum and Nature Center every Wednesday at 2pm

Ever wondered what it’s like to be a farmer? Head out to the Stamford Museum and Nature Center every Wednesday at 2pm this summer to discover the life of a farmer on Heckscher Farm. There will be a different farming activity each week including milking, grooming, caring for young animals, and more! This program runs from June 24th-August 19th and runs for 30-45 minutes. This program is free (with gate admission) and for all ages. Meet at the chicken coop!

WILD! Feeding at the Stamford Museum and Nature Center every Saturday this summer at 12:30pm

Every Saturday this summer from 12:30pm-1pm, head out to the Stamford Museum and Nature Center and help feed the animals housed there. Discover what the animals like to eat and help prepare their diet. This event is free for all children, but make sure to grab a spot early (any time after 10am day of) as only 20 kids can help each week. This program is every Saturday from June 6th through August 22 (except the Fourth of July).

Animal Antics Every Monday this Summer at Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center

Every Monday from 4-5:30pm this summer, head over to the Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center for a chance to learn about native animals in New England. This program is for kids ages 7-16. There is a fee of $5.95 for members and $7 for nonmembers. Be sure to call 860-536-1216 or click here to register.

Birds of Prey Feeding at Earthplace Every Saturday

Every Saturday the Earthplace Nature Discovery Center in Westport, CT features a Birds of Prey feeding demonstration at 3pm– starring the site’s own bald eagles, hawks, owls and more!
Check it out this Saturday and make sure to enjoy the sites other great features while you’re there: 62 acres of wildlife sanctuary, hiking trails, and an interactive natural history museum. The center is open 9am-4pm on Saturdays and the birds will be fed rain or shine (or snow!).
