End a long summer week by the campfire at the Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center. Enjoy stories, rhymes, songs, and the sounds of a crackling campfire on Friday, August 7th from 4:30-5:30pm! This event is ideal for families with children under 8 years old. Admission is free for members, and $5 for non-members.

Bring your curious kids over to the Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center for a fun class in exploring the creatures of the forest. Each Saturday morning class from 9:30-10:30am features a different animal such as frogs, butterflies, turtles, and more! There will be a story, a craft, and an outdoor activity in the meadows, forests, and ponds. This event is ideal for families with children under 6 years old. There is a fee of $8.50 for members and $10 for non-members. be sure to pre-register by calling the center at 860-536-1216.

Bring your young kids (ages 0-3 years) over to Westmoor Park for a guided nature walk and visit to the farm. Feel free to bring strollers or wagons for your kids. There is a fee of $10 for residents and $11 for non-residents (for each parent/child pair, plus an extra half of the fee for each addition child). Be sure to register online, in person, or by mail!
